It's ok, I didn't feel anything is an ongoing series of intimate portraits in contemporary Australia.
My subjects share a commonality of resistance to capitalist ideals and authority – they fiercely challenge cultural normative behaviours, practices and expectations through their actions and identities.
It's ok, I didn't feel anything is a dialogue – between subject and photographer, between lovers, between friends.
This series seeks to unmask among these fierce subjects a commonality of shared vulnerability, a sense of belonging but also loneliness – a sense of desired connection to each other in an ever more fucked up world.
